Hi, I'm Vicky. Welcome to the official site of my husband, American composer John Mitchell. His music is unique in today’s world. As classical as that of Beethoven or Schubert, but informed by a passion for rock ‘n roll. As accessible as movie music, but of enduring value. Connected to what is deepest and truest in the human heart. On the other hand, he mostly listens to Anthrax, Metallica and Megadeth, which is a mystery to me. (Well, lately it's Hindemith.)

The Sheremetyev Ensemble recorded four of John's chamber works in the summer and autumn of 2002 in Moscow, and that CD, Mitchell in Moscow, is available from CD Baby. In 2003 Seven Color Pieces for piano were recorded by Olga Papikian, and several of the Spanish songs by Yvonne Regalado Martin.

A new double CD of chamber music for wind instruments with MMC Recordings is being recorded in Boston. John's Op. 3 Sonata for Clarinet will be performed by Grammy-winning clarinetist Richard Stoltzman.
