OUR FAMILY PHOTOS
Here we are! Clicking on the photos will give you the original size--in most cases much bigger. ---- Vicky

Adolf the Bad
With that moustache, what do you expect?

Jonny
My nephew Jonathan Bowles.

Chris Cindy Cordoba
The one that got away. Of all the children who were my kindergarten students in south central LA, I know of one who isn't there anymore. She's an astrophysics/aeronautical engineering major at Stanford.

Pickford Street
This is where ABM Enterprises began (in fact the M stands for Matthew, who is buried in the garden). I had lived there for 25 years, John for 13. The owner was Marty (Martin) Shapiro, father of well-known attorney Robert Shapiro, now a very old guy. (Marty, not Robert. Robert is about the same age as John.) Things changed, we moved. One of my best friends in the 1970s was Bob Shapiro's cousin, that's how I got to Pickford Street. The cousin's name is Kenneth Greenbaum and he's now an orthodontist in Salem, Oregon. He and Bob both grew up in this building on Pickford Street.
Our new place is much nicer, it's bright and airy; and people walking by on the street can't look in on us if we open the curtains. And the old place wasn't so beautiful anymore; the tree was chopped down many years ago, and some of the windows were even broken.
This is what is called a rationalization.
What I have written here is much too mild, and does not express my true feelings. There is a graveyard here. From time to time I visit it, and leave flowers. Bob Shapiro mutilated the bodies of my loved ones, and for that I would happily consign him to the lowest circle of Dante's Inferno.

Cat Tree
I'm not sure exactly who is in this picture.

Kundry, Elizabeth and Adolf
We couldn't keep Kundry, I don't want to talk about it. She was named after a madwoman in a Wagner opera, which was prophetic.

Benjamin
He thought John was his mother.
A very sick cat.

John's Piano
Where the music gets written.

You may kiss the bride...
